Ya it is about time he played up to his potential. Tons of potential but he just never seemed to reach it. I haven't followed him for a while but I always knew he was a very talented player.

Exactly, potential is fulfilling now, most did expect it earlier though, and he almost came through properly when he played at A.C Milan.
Good for the Swedes :P
Now us danes just need Christan Eriksen and Viktor Fischer (both Ajax, Holland) to break through, then we got a nice coulpe youngings coming up.

I don't follow soccer outside of the MLS, Premiership, La Liga, some Italian, and a little of the German league. Wish I could follow them more closely but coverage here sucks...
lol Sorry cosy. It rained today. Looks like we are in for a bit of a heat wave. Upper 50's this week.

rain? nope...been nice and cool---no need for a coat (or even a long sleeved shirt, should have just worn the t-shirt today when I went out)...supposed to be nice most of the week...no snow for us on turkey day...not even cold, very weird year.
and in gas news: down again at one station (up .15 at another...not sure how they stay in business).
and in food related news: had steak and potatoes for dinner...good bison steak and smashed potatoes with horseradish (YUM!)....(yeah monday is usually fish night...but fish and potatoes isnt quite as good and the potatoes needed to be eaten.)

I think the rain is gone for a while now. Which is just crazy... Weird weather indeed.
Gas stations here haven't dropped, but the ones in the large town 10 mins away continue too... Ever since summer ended the gas stations have been backwards... Used to always be cheaper here in this small town, no all of a sudden it is always more expensive...
I had hot dogs and an apple for dinner. Yay.

Not anytime soon, Portugal really doesn't play as a team at all, they rely on individuals to do the work, which never is a good thing :P
So maybe in 20 years they can win it, i mean Denmark and Greece has won the eurocup so it's possible for Portugal too.

Taking off cause of sports or cause of thanksgiving cosy? You can always stick around and try to change the subject back to food! Like tomorrow is thanksgiving which means lots of yummy food! I'm excited and you should be too!
I agree with azzer. Lots of talent but lacking cohesion. I don't see them winning as much as they should with their level of talent due to lack of teamwork. If they played as a team they could go far.

nooooo, come back!
soccer is so dull, the ball bounces predictably, the goal is tooo easy to get and you can't use your hands!

Football* Goalkeepers and throw-ins use hands, the ball is predictably but not always.
The "football" you have is dull i think you meant, break after every god damn play is so stupid it's crazy i mean cmon, why is there so many stops/breaks whatever?, does not make any sense.
_Using that red flag to use a video for making a decision, more time wasting.
Though i like Handegg, i just don't want to watch it when ever 2 min you get pulled away from the match.
Thanksgiving?, thank god we don't have that here, they are trying hard to introduce halloween and all kind of stupid american holidays (stupid for europeans, not americans) thankfully it's mainly the stores who use those days to try and earn some money but most danes have enough IQ to keep away from it, plus we're cheap.

I would like American football to be called soccer and vice versa. American football got its name from kicking the ball 10% of the time and the soccer ball gets kicked 99% percent of the time? Where is the justice...
I guess its true what they say the people who sets the rules don't always have to follow logic.

Lets not turn this into a football vs futbol (soccer) thread now guys. Be civil. Each sport has its own fans. Just cause you don't like one doesn't mean you have to rip on it and vice versa. If you aren't a fan fine, but be civil! (Just tryin' to keep the peace!)
I like watching both. The 3 American Football games on today were all pretty good. The last one was a blow out but it was still an interesting game. I wish I could watch more soccer, but again, it isn't shown much here and I'm not paying an extra 30 bucks a month to get the soccer channel.
Thanksgiving isn't a stupid holiday per say. Not like the made up holidays (Valentine's day for one). Thanksgiving is to be a time where "enemies" come together to celebrate "life" in a sense. And eat lots of food.

As i said, for us that's non american it's stupid to "celebrate" it, we got loads of stuff and holidays for "coming together" already

Yup, thus the per say part. For us it isn't, for the rest of the world to celebrate it would be. Though other countries may have similar holidays. Just like we Americans enjoy celebrating the 4th of July, but you better believe that the lads in England don't follow suit. lol

Exactly, we got something called "holy three kings", which doesn't make sense even to us, but we still celebrate it.
So, Black friday, what is that thing? seen it around the web a lot now.

Black Friday - Once upon a time, the Friday following Thanksgiving was the "start" of the Christmas shopping season. It was the day when businesses looked to put their profits well into the black, as opposed to the red column. They offer "door buster" sales, "sales" available for an hour or two after opening the doors. Nothing more than gimmicks to get you in their stores.
